I want to understand the the thought process here.

Because first of all, GTech is a power 5 program. They are the class of the ACC this year. Napier was at U-La-La.
You retarded or something?

I don't think Sumrall is Napier 2.0, to be clear. But I'd take Key over him in a heartbeat.

Why are you taking two points that I have never seen the same person try to make, then arguing them against each other? Makes no sense to me

Why are you talking about Key at all? He’s not leaving his Alma mater

No matter who they hire , it’s a crapshoot.
Nobody is a guaranteed to be a successful hire .

Well for one thing, Sumrall is at a G6 school like Napier while Key is at a P4 school.
Secondly, Sumrall took over a program built by Willie Fritz while Key took over an absolute dumpster fire.
Third, its moot because there is ZERO chance we are hiring the coach at Tulane I dont care who the frick he is. The boosters aint going for it and the governor aint stepping on that political land mine. (and dont tell me the governor isnt knee deep in this - hes the one that made the call to fire BK)

Brent Key is the head coach of a Power 4 school in the ACC that's having it's best season since 1990 when they won the national championship. The other guys are not coaching at a group of 5 school or did in Napier.

They’d both be interesting hires. It’s almost like they’re all individuals.

First time here? We need someone who is ultra experienced at 33 years old. Built like a linebacker with the brain of a Mensa member. Had great success at a power school but didn’t rely on good players to obtain it, but will then recruit better than anyone once he is here.
Anyone else is shite.

I’ve been here long enough to know that you forgot to throw a ‘350’ somewhere in your post

He took over a dumpster fire at Troy and Tulane was a potential dumpster fire that lost 60 players to the portal after Fritz left for Houston. Sumrall made it not a dumpster fire at Tulane. We'd be lucky to have either Keys or Sumrall. Young and very passionate coaches.

Other than coaching at small Louisiana schools there’s no common thread between Sumrall and Napier. That’s a lazy take by anyone saying it
Sumrall would be a risk and you’d likely have some growing pains buuuut he does feel like one if he hits, he hits
Napier always struck me as a Derek Dooley fake it until you make it type. Act like Saban behind a mic, but no substance behind it
