If a NFL Team in a good situation throws a truckload of money at him, I would expect he would go to the NFL.
But he would want to choose the correct situation.

I fully expect, if he is not at Stanford next season, for him to be coach at San Fran.

I'd imagine that he'll be able to pick an NFL team, make his demands, and then just wait on the contract to be written. I can't imagine that no one will meet those demands. And, if they don't, Stanford has shown they are willing to offer more resources to the football program. He's probably in the best situation of any coach looking to move forward.

Dallas wouldn't be a horrible fit for him. The excitement he'd bring alone would work well for them. They are loaded with talent, have a legit QB, WRs, and RBs, they can repair their OL this off-season, and have tons of talent on defense where the right DC can make them lethal.
I hate Dallas, but that seems like a perfect situation for him. Also, if things don't work out, he has the built in excuse that Jerry Jones interfered too much.

Everyone seems to think Harbaugh would choose the NFL over college. Why is this? Is this an assumption partly based on his brother being in the NFL or did he make some comments that he wants to be in the NFL?
I watched an interview with him a couple of years ago where he said the best thing about coaching was being able to teach, interact, and work with young players and help with their development. This makes me think he really likes the college game.

Schefter normally has pretty good sources, so I wouldn't dismiss it offhand. He did dip into college coaching scoop last year when he tweeted that he had good sources saying Stoops would accept the ND job, but he was wrong. Could have been a change of heart, or bad sources.
I'm not a big Miles fan, but I cringe at who LSU might end up with if Miles left for Michigan. It could get scarier than people realize.

if that all happens, the best LSU could do is hire RR. funny thing it would be a switch, but RR probably fits in better here and im sure Les would fit better at UM. that being said, i really dont want Les to go anywhere.
