Our choices are Drink and Frank Wilson.

Then we'll be doing this again in 3 years.

And Missouri is one of 3 other SEC schools that have winning conference records the last two seasons lmao.
About what I expect for someone that wants people to email lsu about this. You’re a psycho

If you answer these, I’ll email verge too
1.)Where would Missouri, as a program, rank to you in within the SEC?
2)Of the 15 losses vs SEC Teams with winning records, how many were Missouri favored in? Better yet, how many of these games were they not double digit under dogs in?
3)of all of Drinkwitz's losses at Missouri, how many were losses when Missouri was favored in their game?

I don't give a shite about personality or fitting in. In fact, if the coach is less like Louisiana folks, that probably means they're more apt for success (some of you need to look at where we rank in anything that matters).
But the W/L in this post does make me nervous if we were to go after him. That's a horrible track record.

One thing i do like about Drinkwitz is his age. Just 3 years older than me. I can look past the dweeb nonsense. Just worried he doesn’t have that cutting edge (tryna avoid saying “dawg”) to stand up to some of the hurdles he’ll see here in terms of the spotlight in contrast to Mizzou. Kinda surprised he isn’t more heavily linked with auburn unless they just don’t want to go back to that Chizik/Malzahn era.

That's not good.
I actually think drinkwitz is a pretty good coach. I just don't think he will get you over the hump.

You’re being an idiot. Lane has won 30% of his games against ranked teams historically.
Drink loses to Alabama and Georgia. Everybody loses to Alabama and Georgia. His head coaching record is one of the best of active coaches, and maybe the best of any coach that isn’t locked to their current job

It’s misleading because they are the 11th best SEC program based on prestige and were not even close to being favored in most of these games for that reason. The best teams in the SEC each year are UGA, Bama, LSU etc. exciting Missouri to be them is funny lol

Lane is 3-9 vs SEC teams with a winning record. He is about to make what, $14-15 mil a year? Sounds crazy
Lost to a 4-8 Kentucky team and two other programs that just had to fire their coach for incompetence (LSU / Fl) that were a combined 17-9 last year
It’s easy to twist and cherry pick numbers with no context.

Genuinely wondering, which metric are you going by?
Taking away first year HCs, there are about 20 coaches with higher career winning % than Drinkwitz.

Good coaches can punch up every once in a while. Drink has proven he can’t. This fanbase would riot with his hire and rightly so.

I agree, but they wouldn’t be idiots to fight against Drink as a hire

He’s beaten LSU, Florida(multiple), Tennessee, Ohio state , Kansas st, Oklahoma.

You just made this thread a few days ago.
Did Drink screw your ole lady or something?

The same people shitting on Drink wanted Napier last cycle and Tom Herman before that.
Posted on 11/18/25 at 9:27 am to Lester Earl
So, LSU during Covid and O’s disaster, Florida who the last 15 years hasn’t been the program they’re viewed as, Tennessee who made their return to relevancy last year, Ohio State in a bowl game missing a chunk of their roster, Kansas State(seriously Les?), and OU who again is that really punching up?
