Yeah, 90% of those guys aren't Edsall's. They were Friedgen's.
I'm aware of that. Just saying it isn't a good sign.

Adam is right. I know some people at Maryland and have been following this closely. Maryland football is a mess right now.
First, everyone hates the AD. They hate him for firing Fridge and they really hate him for hiring Edsall. They would love to run him out of town.
Next, the vast majority of the fans hate Edsall. Say what you want, their view is taking a 9-4 team and following it with a 2-10 team is inexcusable.
Next, almost the entire team has told Edsall that they hate him, they think he sucks as a coach, and they are not playing for him anymore. What do you do with that? Watch for transfers to start running from that program...including good players like last year's ACC Freshman of the Year QB Danny O'Brien.
Most of the fans are siding with the players.
For Maryland's last home game, they had about 8000 in the stands.
Most of the fans and the players hate Crowton. I must admit...I thought Crowton and his offense would do well there this year because he had a very good established QB in O'Brien. How Crowton has taken this very talented QB and completely fricked him up beyond all recognition is truly ridiculous. And the fans blame Edsall for bringing in Crowton.
Maryland may be the biggest hot mess in college football outside of Penn State.

i doubt Maryland decides to eat the rest of Edsall's contract and hire a new coach. their athletic department is in the shiiter. he'll get one more year.

Look for Maryland coach Randy Edsall to get strong consideration in Jcksonville

That would be
if they do try to get another coach. Its a joke they fired Friedgen who won them 9 games last year, especially with Maryland being his alma mater.

Yep, ACC Coach of the Year and they canned him.

I mean no offense but Maryland is a Basketball School. You traded a 9 win coach in the ACC with an 8 win coach in the Big East and called it an upgrade.

I agree...a lateral move on the best days.
Moreover, they replaced James Franklin with Crowton...a major downgrade on any day.

I thought that historically, Gary Crowton is supposed to thrive in his first year.
