Yes.
Some thoughts:
1) As RC at LSU he helped haul in #1 classes (or the like) in '01 and '03. If he can lockdown Tn, make some in-roads into NC, north GA, and pluck a few from n. LA he should be able to amass talent with the best.
2) Has a great background (Dad and Saban). Won't be overwhelmed by the SEC and understands the game.
3) Every young coach who turns out to be great usualy has addt'l stops along the way or someone has to take a chance on. In DD's case, I think he'll be great and 10+ yrs from now he'll be the std in the SEC and Tenn will be his home.
4) Not trying to kick a man when he's down (I'm pulling for Les), but at present I'd trade you Les for DD straight-up.

I couldn't be happier for Dooley. As much as i have hated UT in the past, they may have just moved to my second favorite SEC team. I hope he does very well unless playing LSU. Such a smart coach and classy individual.
