Tucker does not deserve to be the head coach off merit. If having on good season (which still has 4 very loseable games left) is the only criteria to being the head coach of LSU, then this is not based on resume.

heaven forbid LSU consider a guy that's coached at Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, Alabama with being a DC at two of those spots. NFL DC at two spots. NFL head coach for a year. Has his team ranked in the top 10 currently -- obviously let's see how the year plays out.

His resume as an assistant is very impressive. He resume as a coach is pretty mediocre to be kind. Tucker would be great here. As the DC. He isn’t getting the job unless everyone else says no. People who actually want him freak me out a bit.

Type all the feelgood shite you want, it is not going to be Tucker man. Ill swap info and bet you if youd like. Having him in the pool is one thing but hiring him is another. I am very aware of his resume and I agree it isnt that bad but it isnt going to be the hire at LSU.

I would say average, yes. But trending up. I'd toss out the covid year for a new coach playing in a conference that was in limbo of playing, not playing, playing, not playing.

There are simply about 6-7 better and more qualified candidates than him at this time. If we whiff on all those and get him so be it, I'm sure he will do fine, but don't force it.

He has (6)Michigan, (25)Purdue, Maryland, (5)Ohio St and (7)Penn St coming up and his stock will rise or fall drastically the rest of the way. He hasnt beat a ranked team yet this year and the schedule has been soft to be honest. Lets see what he does against the upper echelon of the BIG10.

Dave has a better track record as a DC and better quality wins.
Tucker in his coordinator experience has either been a co-DC or working under a defensive HC, Saban, Kirby, Del Rio. His stint as lone DC didn’t go that well.
Way too much unknown with him to be a front runner here

Sorry but no way Woodward goes after a coach with an all time record of 14-12. He would look stupid for firing O with a 17mill buyout for that.
