If Les leaves - isnt Smacker a Sr? Unless he is willing to live apart from his family - that could be the differnce. I do not know any father that would want to uproot his teenage daughter their Sr. of high school.

Uhh, sorry, but his teenage daughter won't be the determining factor

Maybe that is what Les is negotiating...a new swimming complex for Smacker!

She is going to be going to some special school in Florida for her swimming. I heard that on the radio today

Phelps took a few classes at Michigan because his long time coach went there. He stayed as long as his coach stayed, then followed his coach back to Baltimore a few years later. He didn't go because Michigan has a good program, he went because of his coach.

Michigan actually has an awesome men's program. And a pretty good but not awesome women's one, though there are a few SEC teams (not LSUs) that are ranked higher.

But I doubt Smacker has veto power. Besides, I thought someone said the other day that she was in boarding school this year?

From what I have heard, he graduated. Pretty sure he's been featured in the Michigan Alumni magazine as an alum too.
