You're thought process and posts have been a dumpster fire recently. And that is coming from a guy (me) that gets on a fellow Aubie about once every 2 years.
I'm sorry, should I post incessantly about Bobby Petrino as the Savior or go to the Rant and ramble on about Alabama?
I really haven't been posting on the SECr or the Auburn board lately because both have turned into hot garbage with little interesting discussion

Just because Auburn is down to interviewing Clemson's QB coach, doesn't mean Arkansas is having a hard time finding a coach...
We will announce our hire when we are ready.
Or whenever you locate the exact duck blind that Tubby is in.

Why are Tennessee, Auburn, and Arkansas having such a hard time finding a coach?

It is tough. I grew up in the Ham vastly outnumbered and always took on the mantle as the biggest AU fan in elementary and junior high and felt like it was my duty to lead other Aubies and defend all things AU as well.

I actually can appreciate that.

@KegsnEggs: Big, if true. MT @RedditCFB: Wikipedia edited to say "Johnny Manziel to become next head coach at Tennessee, Arkansas, and Auburn."
Nationally, our coaching searches are becoming a joke.
I don't think I'm being cynical when I say that I find it hard to believe that coaches actually wait until the end of the season to discuss other jobs. That's why the have agents, search firms, ect to act as intermediaries behind the scene.

You must be new to coaching searches, they just stopped coaching this Saturday calm down.

My parents and grandparents were militant Aubies. It was serious business.
Plus my dad, grandad, and great granddad were WWI (army), WWII (navy) and Vietnam (special forces / green beret) vets as well, so the militant part was sorta forced on me anyway.

Trust me, Auburn is Gunna hire a far better coach than the one they just fired. No doubt about it.

I don't know, they still Jay Jacobs as their AD. Anything can happen

Yeah, who would have thought Kentucky would have made the first hire and a competent one at that

That explains a lot, I have a newfound respect for ya bro.
I now understand your passion for your alma mater.

I am very pleased with the hire. We also had a little bit of a head start on the hiring process, which was key IMO. Mitch knew some other DI BCS jobs would open up that would be competing for coaches in our "tier".

Does No One Want to Coach in the SEC?
Posted on 12/3/12 at 7:56 pm to undecided
It's 2 days after the last games of the season were played. Rumors are just that. These schools had to wait until after this past weekend. Fans are in a hurry, the svhoos have not been. You will see that change in the next day or 2.

What about a conference where it is easier to win a National Title than it is to win an SEC title. You have 5 or 6 of the top 10 programs in the country all in one league. The other 4-5 are all in different conferences.

Depends on how competitive the coach is. Strictly business I would stay away since you can make the same money in much easier conferences. There is no low hanging fruit in the SEC.
