Why would he want to tarnish his reputation and diminish excitement for next year by coaching a gutted roster to a loss in a meaningless bowl game?

CLK will rightly do as Kelly did four years ago and observe from the booth.

No. He wants no part of that.

I think he should take this time to get to know the players, staff, and faculty as well as familiarize himself with the recruiting prospects and aim to hit the ground running starting next season.

Let him draw up some plays that don’t involve a screen pass

Hopefully he'll be heavily scouting the bowl practices and game, not game planning to win.

Lane is crazy enough to do that, but odds are he will let Frank continue to have the reigns. I’m sure he plans to be very involved in bowl prep in some degree.

He may die laughing at our O scheme in the meetings

If he wants to I’m all for it. If he were here with a month to prepare we likely beat Oklahoma Saturday so why not

Would you want your name associated with that offense?

I pray he does!!!

- way better than the current coaching setup
- would probably mitigate portal damage
- head start on spring ball

Even Kiffin needs a QB to be successful.

He should participate in bowl preparations, offer advice/play design to the Offense, and get after Recruiting/Potal!
