Its not LSU they are annoyed with. By all indications, LSU has reached out to no agents nor leaked any interest. It is all just media outlets looking for quotes from coaches to get clicks. Coaches know the game and will be annoyed with media not LSU.

Coaches who are extremely successful in today's CFB world expect rumors and speculation about high profile vacancies.

It goes with the territory.

Coaches are smart enough to realize that the distraction is coming from the media, not LSU. Alleva is not out there saying exactly who we're going after. It's media speculation at this point.

when joe alleva rolls up with a Brinks truck full of cash they will forget all about it being any type of distraction at the time.

Every coach out there will deny all interest except O. But many many agents will explore LSU's interest in their clients through deniable 3rd parties. 99% are interested.

Yes....Until they realize they will be getting paid $5 million plus next year with the best facilities, fertile recruiting bed and highest paid assistants in the country.....

Not even mad....

No. Just having their name linked to the LSU job might even get them a raise.

I sure hope you don't really believe this

Maybe, maybe not. Thats why I prefaced with "By all indications." The important part here is that LSU lets nothing leak. If negotiations or interest leaks, thats how deals get squashed.

I'm sure a few coaches told their agent to contact LSU.

I wouldnt doubt it. However if I am Joe, unless its one of my main candidates, I wouldnt take the call. At least not at this point.

Would you be "annoyed" if another (possibly better) company was asking you if you're interested in making a shitload more money?

They get annoyed with the media. Nobody gets annoyed by being sought after and offered truck loads of money.

Money makes annoyance way more bearable.
