"I am confident there was no plan in place."

It's like "Guardians of the Galaxy". Joe has 12% of a plan.

Yes we did.

I was told on this site that top coaches will line up to be the head coach of LSU

They had to fire miles to save the season. Stadium would have been half full with only boo birds for every home game. Would have gotten ugly.

So you think we secretly negotiated with and "hired" a coach in September?
This didn't occur in a vacuum. The firing was almost done last season, and there's a lot to indicate that Fisher was the intended hire, and had agreed in principle. At least, he very strongly considered it.

After this season started off rocky, you make a few calls to see if he's still interested... apparently he is now, so I'd suppose his people said he was then.

Miles then gets fired the first possible chance we get- Sunday morning after losing the Auburn game. That sounds like it was going to happen anyway, and the loss just gave them the opportunity to do so at that point.

So at this point Jimbo knows he has LSU by the balls, but at the same time he has to wait until ... now.

I don't think you fire Miles with the idea that Tom Herman might be a good head coach that you may get; I think Jimbo said "if the job is open, I think we can work this out. But I'm not doing this like last year, I need to know you're serious".

Is Alleva at the helm? Then yes, I don't think he had a plan nor a corch.

What makes you think he's not an option? Not saying this is good but how far down the list is he? Because i guarantee he's on the list. The chance of us getting our number 1 is very slim. It always is for any school trying to pull a coach.

Do I really hope this would not be true? Yes, but then I realize Alleva & Alexander are running things & the above mentioned scenario is absolutely possible; probable in fact.

O should not be under consideration until every coach with a better resume tells us to kick rocks. He's had a chance to run a program in the SEC, and he cratered. This gives him the experience to be "interim" since he was already on the payroll, but his resume to take over the program permanently is garbage. Les Miles' worst year (here or at OSU) crushes O's best at Ole Miss, and O's as an interim isn't much better. He's beaten a grand total of 1 decent team as interim, and that was at USC.

Aranda could have the same record as interim here, if all he did was coach the defense and tell the offense "run the ball, and occasionally try to throw it".
