Tubby is a good coach. I know how many of us feel about his classless act with the cigar. Having said that, I still think he would be a good fit for LSU. But I still don't see him leaving AU.

IMO he would be a downgrade from Les.

I agree he would be a step down and he would not sustain our program

There has been some sort of turmoil at Auburn every year he has been there regarding recruting,$$,next job, ethics, etc.

At LSU we would be on probation within 3 years of hiring him

Don't know what you're talking about. Tubbs runs a very clean program and disciplines his players when they get in trouble (unlike the coach across the state). The rumors about him come up every year due to jetgate and whether or not he will finally tell AU to stick it for that. Tubbs has owned Bama 6 straight times, and having watched the rivalry between those teams for years I can say that is a damn impressive accomplishment. We would be in good hands if he became our next HC.

A close friend of mine has a home next door to Tommy T. at Lake Martin and we spend a lot of time there in the summer. I hate to say it but TT is a great guy and I think he would be a great coach anywhere he went. Auburn has never given him any respect and he deserves better.

Well, in that case, LSU may not be his best option....the last 3 years have been brutal for a winning coach who never got the respect he deserved..... Maybe the hogs would treat him better.
