You are basing your whole argument on numbers from ten years ago, when Syracuse was still on a Big East budget. The numbers I provided are the most current. You can find them in one of the articles you posted.
No, Dino has failed to meet even low expectations.

not sayign dino is the long term answer but he has done about as well as could be expected and has actually gotten the admin to raise spending levels.

did you not read the shite i linked where the numbers are from 2021? where you spent 1.1m across all sports on recruiting?
why are you avoiding linking the number you said? where? i posted a list of top 20 in recruiting budget for football....syracuse is no where to be found. you spend about 750k at the very max on FOOTBALL RECRUITING
you havent posted shite

how? you spend like shite, have shite facilities in comparison, are in a shite state and locale for talent and nt you are expecting to be top half to the conference?
after this year, in the last 20 years you will have had 5 winning seasons and dino will have 2 of the them and the best one and has a chance to tie for 2nd best this year.
marrone only had 2 in the big east in 5 years so lets not act like he was some god. best of the 4 coaches you have had since the turn of the century, give you that.
but since the turn of the century no coach has been over 500 for their time at syracuse and only DM was even 500.
i mean what are the expectations? and it would be retarded to fire a coach having a winning season when those have been rare as hell in the last 20 years.

he is 20 games below .500 in conference play

You have no idea what we spend on recruiting, because as a private school, that information isn't released. The $650,000 number you posted is from ten years ago, when Syracuse was still on a Big East budget. The numbers I posted tell us that Syracuse is middle of the road in the ACC and nationally on recruiting spending. How that shakes out on football only is an unknown.

All of our football facilities are either newly built or recently renovated. NY is a shite state for football talent. Surrounding states, where previous coaches recruited from, are not. And I do expect to be the top half of the conference. I expect the same level of success or better than has has been accomplished previously.

This year isn't done. Dino has had one winning season, which was primarily because of Eric Dungey, a leftover from before Dino got here.

When did I act like Marrone was a god? I said he was doing a good job turning the program around. Not really godlike praise, is it?

My expectations are we should be able to compete in the ACC, not exactly a football powerhouse, and be bowl eligible most years. I also expect a coach that has one winning season out of seven to get shite-canned.

dude seriously why is it so hard for you to look critically. the spending from 2021 was 1.1m, do the math, even if 75% of that was on football its a low arse number.
but lets say you are right, only Penn is a good recruiting state near you. #1 PSU, OSU and Mich are getting first pick from there. NJ would be the next best and you would be behind those schools, Rutgers, prolly wvu also all things being equal.
how are you going to outrecruit the ACC being middle of the pack recruiting spending wise when you are not anywhere close to much talent and are at best 4th choice for the ones you are close to?
you not the faciliteis but they are still behind almost all the ACC and behind pretty much all of the B10.
your weather is pretty horrible too. say what you want but that matters

accomplished previously when? the last 20 years you have 4 winning seasons, this year will be number 5 and dino will have 2 of those.
if he goes 7-5 this year that puts him at 36-47 overall which is 43% winning %. only 1 coach since turn of the century has been better.

i agree and if you could get someone like him you would be better but it would still be similar to this year,.

and im ok with that, but he will be bowl elgible this year. so why this year? he is competing in the ACC
im fine with Dino going but it doesnt make much sense to do it this year after he will have a winning record and way better than average record for your school in last 20 years and sure as frick way better than average since you left the Big east
as far as your comment about getting back to what was accomplished previously and top half of the ACC
do you really think you should be above:
clemson
UNC
NC State
VT
Miami
FSU
???
what do you have that pitt or louisville dont? what about duke....what do you offer that would make southern recruits choose the orange over the blue?
you are essentially BC with better history but worse location
the 90s arent coming back unless you load up on spending and nil
and if you are spending 5 million on mens and womens lacrosse and less than or even a million in recruiting...well based on your location you can expect dog shite results.
sorry it is what it is. fire dino, thats fine but dont expect different unless your school decides it wants to change priorties.
