Petrino is staying.
All I've heard coming from Arkansas is that Petrino and his staff think that they can re-awaken our once-proud program. By all accounts his family is very content, his kids are happy in school, and he is very confident that he can turn us back into a national power.
But you nay-sayers keep on yapping.

theres a big difference between a 1 million dollar buyout and a 11 million buyout kige.
I could be wrong but I think petrino has the biggest buyout in college football.

It appears that him leaving benefited both Arkansas and the Falcons.
Its too early to say that he jumped the gun. But I'd have to say that we will hear his name thrown around quite a bit when the big name jobs become available.

I'm a Falcons fan. I had to endure his BS for almost a year. He did the same thing to the Falcons he's doing to you as far as constantly assuring everyone everything is peachy. You don't know if it is or not, because he's a proven liar. That's my point on that.

I don't need to, because no matter what, it's just not going to happen. This isn't the SWC anymore. It's not you vs. Texas. It's you vs. LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia....the Big 6, not just the Big 1 anymore. You remember being 2nd fiddle to them? Well now you're 2nd fiddle to more of them. You will never be able to constantly recruit like those teams do thus will never be a consistent threat at the top of the SEC. Pretty simple to figure out, you've had 17 years now in the SEC to figure out you just aren't able to compete consistently with those programs. Am I saying you'll never win anything? No. I'm saying you won't ever be able to consistently compete with the Big 6.
