I clicked on the watch app from work for a second and Paul was sayin how it's a big game for Ed O because Mascona said O could possibly lock the job up if he beats UF. Was curious if anyone heard the interview??

Mascons knows just about as much as all of us do. I hate that they bring him in national shows to talk about LSU. Really wish they would us Cullota or Hanny.

Could be true. I suspect LSU would have paid Jimbo more last year though. With the way the team is performing under CEO, LSU isn't desperate anymore. It could be argued that LSU only needs to hire an OC who is able to "modernize" the offense.
I am not saying CEO should be the choice, just making the point that it won't be as easy for agents to play LSU. I think that is a very good situation for LSU.

Down vote me all you want but this is retarded talking shite on Orgeron while the season is still going on after Miles was fired and almost everyne cheered.

Starting to think any coach we get will be trashed during the season and that can't be healthy for the team after all the motivation and positives vibes they have going on right now.

This team is fun to watch again, let's enjoy it and address the coaching status after the season.

I don't think anyone would be saying frick Orgeron if he and his supporters weren't lobbying for him to get the job over more accomplished head coaches. I really don't want Orgeron to be the next head coach, but it is not because of personal animus. I like the idea of him staying at LSU and being a contributing part to LSU's return to excellence. I'm just not sure Orgeron feels the same way because of how hard he seems to have lobbied to be the permanent head coach.

I'm not saying I want him as head coach, but at the same time the team is working. Football is fun again. Why screw that up with the chance of not getting the coach we want and losing the one we have that's got this team motivated and playing great.
If we have a HR in the wings then ok, but after all these years of not winning championships, it takes time to teach these guys to get that killer instinct. I'm seeing strides in the defense. I havent seen that in years. Aranda is the biggest reason. Just saying let's not screw up what we have started here chasing rainbows that may not exist.

I really don't understand the point of this sentence. The next head coach LSU hires has to be the best possible head coach on the basis of what his career has shown he can accomplish.

Individual player commentary on how much they like their coach means nothing to me compared to resume. You can find a lot of players who hate Saban, Meyer, or Harbaugh. Obviously we all enjoy watching LSU play well. But the take home on that desire is to hire the best possible head coach.

Here we seem to agree. Which, combined with his prior resume at Wisconsin, is why I think Aranda is a better HC hire than Orgeron (if LSU doesn't hire someone like Fisher).

You lost me again. I don't understand how that general statement relates to your belief about who is a good hire. You might be pro-O or anti-O, pro-Aranda or anti-Aranda, pro-Jimbo or anti-Jimbo and say the above.

I am pro Aranda first and foremost. Coach O deserves a chance since the team did a 180 since Miles was let go. I'm saying don't lose what you got if it's working. When it stops working then you look around. I think all this team is missing at this point is a great OC.
