It's not arrogance. It's caution and skepticism. It takes work to make an elite hire. Tucker could work out, but I see him as an experienced and solid DC with a good DC resume.

We are in a very strong position to hire an elite coach. Tucker, Napier, Aranda and some of the others, would all likely be solid coaches but they would be a let down.

And for all the Kiffin pumpers and haters. Dias says Kiffin now is a close 4th choice on the list behind Aranda. So very unlikely he gets the job.
