makes no sense for ole miss to let him coach while the coaches they're into are not going to wait for that job to open. Sumrall seems to be going to Florida and Golesh is interested in Arkansas and auburn. ole miss better make a move

The longer this drags out the less confident I am that he's coming. I think there will be some kind of an emotional decision for him to stay. Maybe his players will carry him off the field like Les Miles and he has some sort of spiritually enlightening moment where, overwhelmed with joy and confidence and a sense of loyalty, he abandons reason and logic and decides to remain in Oxford with his team because he built it and that's where his heart is.

and it's the opposite for me... if he was staying, it don't take a 4 hour meeting to figure that out... plus, if he said he was staying, Ole Miss would have already put ANY inclination of that information out by now, to settle down the fan base.... they haven't...
it's pretty clear, especially now, he's leaving... how and when is the question now, and he's basically strong arming them into letting him still coach the playoff even if he does sign on with LSU... so as far as "are we getting Lane Kiffin?" that's a yes... it's just a matter of when and under what circumstance will that happen, at this point

I definitely see your logic here. But imagine if they let him continue coaching and they win a game or two or heaven forbid they win the whole damn thing. Do you think he still leaves after that? I don't think so. My point is that the longer this goes on and they keep winning, the harder it's going to be for him to walk away.
