Got a call last night that Scarborough said that Del Rio would be the next coach at LSU. Anyone confirm this??

Seriously, you people are insane. I'm not sure if I've ever seen such a large group of gullible people gathered in one spot in my life.

It has been mentioned by more than one person but only as a POSSIBILITY. Not sure if that would be a good hire or not. If he could keep Crowton, bring in Tenuta, keep Lane and a couple of others then I would be pretty damned happy! I only mention Tenuta because a there has been some smoke about LSU contacting him quickly after the GA Tech staff was terminated.

I hear he is going to bring in Jerry Rice as his WR coach.

Not only is he a candidate, he was the #1 choice 3 years ago but the Jags being in the playoffs kept him from being able to interview. This time I think he would jump at the chance regardless of the Jags schedule. If the powers that be change their mind about the Visor, or if the Visor changes his mind, I think Del Rio could be a sure thing.

it had nothing to do with him being in the playoffs that prevented him from interviewing

That is not what kept him form interviewing. I will post one thing that says he is not a candidate.

Winning with an inferior QB in the NFL. He sucks at life.

Actually it had everything to do with it. Jags owner wouldn't give him permission until the season was over.

I don't think Skip offers unless JDR guarantees in writing that he won't leave LSU to go coach USC. Otherwise we are jumping out of the frying pan into the fire!

No JDR was all set to interview. we failed to ask for permission. Jack left before the interview started because he felt skip should have asked regardless

College and the NFL have no agreement about asking for permission
