Michigan AD says he wants a "defensive mindset coach" with recruiting ties to the midwest.
Defensive mindset coach is absolutely Gary Patterson. But does he have midwest recruiting ties?

Sorry. All I could think while reading was:
I think in his three years here... He did not beat Ohio State. It clearly seemed like he did not win against them. It clearly impacted the positive energy a team needs to beat Ohio State. He also clearly lost to Ohio State on multiple occasions...
