Talk about sucks for Garrett, that guy could've had most any jobs he wanted three years ago.

Of all Jerry's hires the only two to win Super Bowls were college head coaches before they came to Dallas. Both had won NCs in college. Tell me again why he won't hire a college coach?

Garrett failed as an OC. He had his high profile chance and blew it.

JJ was a great coach. switzer was an idot who won with JJ team. Jerry has watched alot of popular College head coaches not pan out around the league. he likes shanahan and i really think he is over weak head coaches. he wants to win bad. garrett blew his shot at the head coaching postion with his OC coaching in dallas.

Miles does have a connection to Jerry. He was TE coach before the OSU gig. However, this morning the names mentioned on The Ticket were Gruden and Shanahan. Holmgren is buddies with Jerry. Beat writer said Jerry will go with a big name to try to get back some credability. As in follow Campo and Gailey with Parcels and now follow Wade Phillips with similar.

Other than having a connection with Jerry, why in the hell would he hire the worst college coach of a major program?

Unfortunately, he was seen at dinner last night with the owner of the Browns and figures to be their next GM --- he won't coach again (heard on the Herd).

"Enjoy the 9 win seasons"

From a texas fan? Really? Ever heard the saying "people in glas houses shouldn't throw stones?

Exactly what is it that makes mack brown a better coach then miles? The only accetable answers are vince young and sam bradford's a-c joint.

He hired Switzer and Jimmy Johnson who were both college coaches and both went on to win the Super Bowl. Your argument fails.

I don't think anyone in the NFL ever sniffs Nick Saban again. (or at least anytime soon) And why would Jerry Jones look to hire Les Miles. His stock as a coach isn't exactly at its highest.

It's funny...for 30 years, Tom Landry was the one and only coach of the Dallas Cowboys. He was the face of the franchise.

All of a sudden, Jerry Jones buys the team and KA-frickING-BOOM...let the merry-go-round begin.

bullettproof: i enjoy 9 win seasons! every college should. that was my sarcasim to all the LSU fans who cant stand MILES because he cant win a NC every year. I dont think MILES is an elite coach but there is a list a mile long of programs that will take him once the LSU fan base runs him out of here and then i want to see a coach who wants to coach in this enviroment in baton rouge.

When you say "enjoy 9 wins" sarcastically, what you mean is "sucks to be you with your 9 wins seasons.

Speaking only for myself, Miles was an acceptable coach until the Ole Miss game. Everyone on this board would have accepted a 10-2 season this year, despite the crappy way in which we won games but for the ole miss game and how poor the offense preformed. Miles can still redeem himself by letting crowton go.
