Unfortunately I just don't see him leaving the West Coast

I agree that he would be the perfect feasible hire, therefore, I will keep my fingers crossed!

UCLA's defense is good? I just remember the BYU game this year.

Les will be in LA next week

I have a somewhat inside source

Not sure if there is something else he has to do in LA but it is the only thing I can think of.

He will also do an in home visit with that Juco kid in Sacramento

Because he is highly respected in the coaching circle and he is one of the top young coaches in America in college football and he is a very good defensive coach and strategist. Does this help?

He's also an excellent recruiter and the kids at UCLA love him.

I don't see him leaving UCLA to go to LSU, though. His next move will be as a head coach somewhere.

UCLA is 36 in total D in the nation this year.

In a conference that includes Washington and Washington St. Tennessee looked good against their D.

Not bad considering that they don't have the type of athlete's from top to bottom on their defensive roster to compare to what LSU has so I would say thats pretty good. Also take into account their offense hasen't been that good this year with no depth on their Oline and at QB.

Okay so is this your ammo to say that He is not a good DC? One game? They guy has a proven track record is one of the best in the country. Bo Pelini did some crap jobs in games during his stay at LSU so lets not talk about a game here or there. IF UCLA was on the same level as LSU then you might have an argument but comparing to UCLA to LSU in the last 8 years is like comparing Apples and Oranges.

Put the crack pipe down dude. We don't need another AA "Great Recruiter/Poor Teacher type from the West Coast a la McCarthy.

DW would be the perfect interview though. He would satisfy the ludicrous minority interview requirement and would keep Jesse, Al and all the other "Element" guys happy and content.....

Why don't they Dewayne Walker has been there long enough that if he is a recruiting/coaching genius he should have attracted enough athletes to get his D into the top 25.

If you are going to use Shitty Offense makes having a highly ranked D impossible then John Chavis must be a cross between Nick Saban and Jesus.

No multiple games. Tennessee, BYU(59), Cal(41), Arizona St.(34)

Let me list you the team he's held to below 20 points this year

Washington State-Absolete fricking garbage team
Washington-Winless. Need I say more?

That's it. When you look at this USC performance that every is freaking out about they held them to 28 points. If you take out the Washington and Washington St. blow out USC scored an average of 32 ppg.

He held them to 4 points under their avg ppg(not counting the highschool teams in Washington) why are people freaking about about this?

And the only reason was because our normally great FG kicker went 0-3
