Can't say it's unexpected. His dumb arse would be lucky to get a middle school job.

good now we can just fire his arse to embarrass him after all the ways he has embarrassed us

Damn we can't give this guy away.
I say take it up a notch. Offer Texas State or whatever program a deal where if they agree to take him LSU agrees to pay his salary while he is their coach.

Shows how crappy one of our coordinators is thought of by even low level programs.
In the meantime, FL takes Weiss back from the Pros.

They had too much time and saw some film on is offense. They actually recomended him to their rivals.

Very telling sign when our coordinators used to leave for HC positions at Neb or FSU. Chavis can leave for top notch positions...Crowton cant leave for OC at "worthless" st U...Les do your job and hire someone else...Gary can stay on board for a yr as BBQ coordinator if Les is such a nice guy.

I think even the fans would take up a collection to send him packing to wherever...

In his defense, look at the other applicants. There are some legit guys angling for this opening (for whatever reason).

Only things I can think of are that they're moving up to D1 - against mostly weak talent, and it's between the Austin/San Antonio media markets. So their thinking is probably that they turn some heads wracking up wins as Texas State's first D1 coach while auditioning for a better job.
Fran once coached there, so it's definitely a launching pad to legendary careers.

Let's offer Crowton and JJ in a package deal, and does Cecil Collins have any eligibility left, he can go too!

Dan Hawkins has feelers out in San Marcos right now, I'm hearing a bit of chatter
another very interesting thing today:
