Not sure if the assistant contracts are a sticking point or not but regardless if anyone in the business world had made such a monumental blunder similar to Alleva allowing assistants to sign contracts prior to their boss all the while knowing the next guy might want his own people would surely be fired. That's amateur and not something you would expect from the guy apparently in charge of the athletic department of a multi million dollar empire.

So instead of bringing in one guy (DC) that may be unfamiliar with the recruiting territory, you are suggesting we should have let all go unsigned, so we potentially would need to bring in 2 additional hires familiar with the territory--who have no contact with potential recruits or scouting reports geared to the team's need.

....and when in the business world do the assistants automatically get fired (let go) when the manager gets fired???
