I would love to see you on the Auburn board, but I have very little influence over there. Not very popular. I have been giving the smokers hell about Malzahn lately. Some of them don't like the truth.

That assumes AU insists on the full contractually obligated amount. If the AU admin was ok with letting him go, they might be willing to settle for less.
Now, if AU were to fire Malzahn, they would be on the hook for 75% of his remaining contract, which would be about $26.6 million right now.
But thats a completely different issue than is being discussed ITT.
