If miles leaves, I understand and hope he does great at Michigan. Im just worried a out who will replace him.

Of course not. Alleva failed upward when he screwed up at Duke and landed the LSU job, and I have no faith he would make a good hire in football.

What has Alleva done to prove to all of you he wouldn't be able to make a good football hire? His last college football hire was David Cutcliff at Duke and that has turned that entire program around.

Might be a scary thought considering Rick Perry is the head of TAF now. Not that I know much about the guy, but he is new to the top spot and hasn't had to make these kind of decisions before.

It would have to be Dr Alexander.

TAF does not speak with a single voice and no small group is dominant enough to have an influence. Alleva is a bureaucrat with no great drive for excellence. The BOS is utterly incompetent and out of touch.

I fear for when Les leaves/retires. In this present environment, it would have to be Dr Alexander making a wise choice like Dr Emmert in 1999.

IMO alleva would get bent over by the TAF. Daddy dale had his way with him during the basketball search.

Which was pretty much a result of the fricked up hire that Trent Johnson turned out to be.

And you'd have confidence in TAF? You do understand that the so called big shots in TAF have no more college football experience than any ranter here. TAF does have influence,because of the money they control, but they have no expertise what so ever in hiring a big time coach. And what big time coaches are out there that realistically would come to LSU? You fire CLM, or are thrilled to see him go, you better have a homerun hire in place yesterday. No such person is out there, my opinion.
