“Through the first eight weeks of the season, we have felt our offense hasn’t performed at the consistent level that we need,” Colts coach Chuck Pagano said in a statement. “Because of this we’ve decided to go in a different direction and relieve Pep Hamilton of his duties as offensive coordinator. As head coach of this team, it’s my responsibility to make sure I’m doing everything we can to put us in the best position to succeed. We thank Pep for his service to the team and wish him all the best.”

Not sure why they don't just go ahead and fire Pagano. It's inevitable.

Pagano should be fired also. All the weapons they have on offense and can't win????? Frank Gore would be a top 5 back on a lot of teams.

The offense seemed fine under Pep last year. Funny how fluid coaching situations are. Did Chuck blame Pep for that special teams play too?

Ehhh he's kinda old now and it probably wasn't just Pagano's stupid decision to draft a WR in the 1st rd instead of trying to build the O-line or elsewhere.

I know Pagano sucks, but that offense hasn't done jack shite this season in almost every game until late when Luck is basically running the hurry up and calling his own plays. Their offensive game planning has been pure shite. I don't think it's a bad move, but Pagano will be gone at season's end.

Exactly Grigson is a terrible GM. But hey, how about that Trent Richardson for a 1st rounder trade, eh?

Pep was one of the OCs I wanted Oakland to get out of Stanford. Think he's a good OC, just didnt have the offensive line to run his power I.

We have a ton of problems.

Pagano is supposed to be a defensive coach but defense has been middle of the road since he has been here. Sometimes a good pass defense but never solid all around.

Grigson is one of the main problems. Got robbed of a first for Trent. We have not had an elite back since Edgerrin James and Joseph Addai was good as well. Besides Bradshaw falling into our laps last year, no production at that spot. We need help on the lines (they are trying to get Luck killed) and they draft a TY Hilton clone. If we weren't going to resign him fine, but we resigned TY so why do that? Dorsett isn't even really seeing the field.

I am indifferent on Pep. The first couple years, I felt he really handcuffed him. Last year he unleashed him, the turnovers were just a problem. This year Luck is holding it to long and not seeing the field. Pep has been unable to design an offense to force Luck to get the ball out of his hands quickly, you would think Dorsett and Hilton would make it easy for him to do that.

Also doesn't help that the Patriots run it down our throats at will and our owner is drug addict.

Seems like a good hire for the colts, but I bet there's a full turnover after the season

Yeah, Pagano's not exactly Paul Brown incarnate, but Ryan Grigson might be the worst GM in pro football, and I'm not even a Colts fan.

He's coasting on drafting Luck, while pretty much every other decision he's made has been horrendous. He's wasted 4 solid years of a promising young QB.

Weapons don't matter when they cannot block the other team.

yeah, looks like Hamilton is the 1st fall guy for the Colts this year.

their real problem is the GM.

the Andre Johnson signing... picking Dorsett in the 1st round of the draft. Just to name a few.

I wish Rob Chudzinski was still with the Panthers. He is a good OC.

It seems that Irsay has sided with Grigson a lot. It's quizzical because I think Pags is a good coach whose put together an okay staff.

The OL and the Trent Richardson thing are fireable offenses yet he's still there and won't allow Pags to strengthen the Line. Like I said its quizzical.

The other thing is: WTF wants to come in there if they do fire Pagano and then have to deal with that wingnut owner and that GM who put together that team and seemingly wouldn't do anything to protect his franchise Quarterback?

Chud is high on Miami's list not sure if he feels the same. Pagano gotta go I assume chud would be interm. I'd rather have schiano Orgeron or strong befor butch Davis chud and or Richt in the 305 I mean
