Done deal.

Les will contribute 1 million per year to the pot.

The stipulation is that Smacker has to live with Terry and Nick. Nick to train Smacker to process bitches in Lake Travis and in the pool.

An NFL HC move to UT would also be unexpected. John Harbaugh, a year removed from a SB win, would be shocking.

I don't think that would be that shocking. It's looking like it might be a long rebuild up there, and they fricked themselves by paying their terrible QB $100M

So when does he plan on releasing the details of this phone call and the rumors that will shock the world? Are you telling me I'm going to actually listen to his God awful show to hear this epic let down?

fansided.com picked up the story (just a rehash of the braniacs article) and now its picking up more steam with the masses who don't follow this shite as closely as most of us... now its just getting laughable..

Am I the only one who immediately thought Jameis Winstonwhen he said this??? Seems too early for anything to develop with Texas, seasons not over and Mac could have saved his arse with a turnaround

i did at first, but now that it's been revealed he 99% most likely wont have any charges brought against him, theres no way this is what he was talking about. I'm thinking there's a scandal brewing somewhere...

but remember, colin isn't the most reliable "news-breaker" out there..

i realize that this is a "college-first" type of site, and it's currently football season, but that's not the only sports world there is….

when i first read the OP, i thought something along the lines of moderately to well known current professional athlete from one of the more popular sports coming out, but alas, as with cowherd and "rumors" you can't believe shite….

you throw enough shite against a wall, some of it's bound to stick….

oh definitely, but aside from saban or winston, there's nothing out there that we know of that makes sense... any ideas?

per examiner.com

According to Fansided.com via The Football Brainiacs, Alabama head coach Nick Saban is set to take the job at Texas. Not only is Saban ready for the move, it’s being reported as a done deal as of Wednesday.

For those of you who didn't follow.. this is a site, quoting a site, that quoted a site, that got their info from two sources.

I can't... i just can't

We're watching a baseless rumor evolve in real time. It is kind of fascinating.

It's an interesting sociological experiment. It's essentially the internet version of the children's game telephone.

Totally agree, it is sort of fascinating.

My brother and a few of his buddies did this last year after the ULM loss. There's a statewide station that has a postgame show and they read questions/comments on their twitter feed, and they're pretty much like Ron Burgundy in that they'll read practically anything you put in front of them. Post comments about how a presser has been called to announce JLS's termination after the game, they read it on the radio, message boards pick it up and start chattering about it, news outlets start to essentially report what the boards are saying, and Long ended up having to make a statement or tweet or something of that nature denying it.

It's really not that difficult to pull this stuff off in the digital age.
