i have heard from a booster and some higher ups that this is how the scenario will play out. pelini to annnounce accepting the nebraska job. miles in week or to accepts the michigan job, but stays for the bowl game to coach lsu. steve spurrier has his bags packed and is ready to accept the job at lsu. we'll will see but i assure this source is very reliable and he was right with the saban hire and the miles hire before either were public.

We were told last night that SS is not interested per his agent(s)...but that could change quote un quote..who knows?

I think you are right except the staying for the bowl game part. If he is bound for UM, I can't see LSU admin allowing him to stay for bowl.

Miles does not need to coach the bowl game. We need a new coach in place for recruiting purposes and let Crowton coach for the bowl.

Crowton coach for the bowl
Out of all the coaches on the lsu staff including LM, Crowton by far has the most impressive resume.

You'd think if Spurrier was interested in LSU, someone at USC would leak it and at least 1 person on their forum would mention it, but I have yet to read 1 thing on any of their sights that Spurrier would be a candidate.

Well then ignore it...don't read it...go on to something else...your time is to valuable to waste fussing with individuals that by chance post in the wrong area......
And smile..the world is a beautiful place.... AND we are playing for the SEC champion

Look, SS doesn't have a contract yet because Miles doesn't have his UM contract yet. SS has to say that $hit b/c his current employer keeps hearing that he's gone and he doesn't want to upset the herd until it's final.
I have talked to a booster that personally heard from Spurrier in September that he was interested. LSU wouldn't be doing all this maeuvering if he wasn't, trust me.

Heard the same thing.

Who are they? Why be so secretive?

Maybe, but this is speculation thrown around by everybody on every message board. No breaking news here.

Nope. I don't think this will happen. Michigan is probably going in a different direction. To many UM alums don't like Miles (including Lloyd Carr).

Not going to happen. This is just somebody pontificating about what they would like to happen or what they think would be "really cool". SS is not coming to LSU. This guys love for football is surpassed only by his love for golf. South Carolina has some of, if not the best golf courses in the country. Not to mention he is, by virtue of his job at South Carolina, a member of Augusta National. If he leaves South Carolina he loses Augusta.

Again, who is the source? Why so secretive?

KC, you seem to know so much, so why don't you tell us whats going to happen. If you don't like the info posted or don't believe it, then don't read it.
