I would rather have an established head coach who knows offense AND can recruit with Aranda. Cut out the middle man.

Would your opinion be any different if you knew that Major was actually the one dialing up these plays? Be honest. Is Herman a better recruiter than O? Without Jameis, Jimbo has been been average at best in a very below average conference.

Florida State has a higher ranked offense than Houston this year.

Why do we need Applewhite if we have Jimbo?

Ed is a better recruiter than Jimbo. Applewhite can easily plug in the athletes we bring in.

It's Herman's offense, but the answer is no. He obviously gets his teams amped for big games (O supports should get that). Also, Herman beat Bama with a 3rd string QB.

Les Miles was a good recruiter too... And Herman out-recruited Ed Oliver from Coach O. Ed Oliver was very pro-LSU and had them at #1 at one point.

Herman > Jimbo > O

Based on what? Your assumptions? His only experiance recruiting as a head coach was not that good.

What if we could retain O as a recruiting coordinator?

So can Jimbo. Jimbo can develop QBs also.

You're just coming up with excuses to keep O at Head Coach. There's no reason for it other than you like the guy. That's OK. You can like him. He's not the best option on the table.
