I would say a coach fresh off a NC has more job security than a smug little shite like Kiffen who got the job because his daddy came as a package deal.

Look, as I said on Volnation, no one really knows what is going to happen except for Ed himself. This is all speculation at this point. Both fanbases don't know, they just say what they want to hear.

BTW, only a small portion of LSU's fanbase and Louisiana in general are actually cajun's.

If its UT I'd expect the news to come down in the next 24 hours because O and UT's season is over. Why the hold up? The longer it plays the more confident about him coming here I'll be.

Our in the know people were calling Chavis and O back when Clemson "insiders" were sure they would get Chavis and Tenn "insiders" were sure they would get O.

Oh? He was in the bag weeks ago according to the Tenn people that are suppose to be in the know. Yet since then, there has been more signs in public of him going to LSU than Tennessee. (Watching the HS championships with Miles, saying he was interested in the job in the press, telling his friends and family he wants to coach in Louisiana, ect.)
So I would say the LSU insiders this time around are batting 1.000 so far, and the Tennessee insiders? Not so much.

just handing over the defensive playbook worked out pretty well for us this season

A guy like Chavis, though he is probably an inferior defensive mind to Monte, would be an easier guy to learn how to be a college DC under.

I think the limited practice time is the biggest issue in Kiffin being able to implement his defensive scheme. He's not dealing with 8 year NFL veterans, he's dealing with a teamfull of rookies. It's not a guarantee that Kiffin's success will translate.
