What did LSU do special vs those teams that Les Miles wouldn't have done?

players wouldn't have been ready to play with miles...see past 2 years vs. Arkansas

CLM teams routinely allowed lessor teams to remain in the game...see Miss St. at beginning of the year.

If you don't see that this team has played at a level CLM didn't have them playing at then you probably shouldn't be giving any opinions on future coaches.

Edited my post to show how Arkansas did those seasons. in almost half the seasons Arkansas didn't even have a positive season. It took beating LSU to get them above .500 that year.

You tell me what the difference was playing Arkansas this year.

It's why Miles got fired. LSU cannot settle for Miles 2.0.

no matter your spin, Orgeron is not Miles.

On the page before I post all the point differentials between LSU and Arkansas under Miles and what Arkansas and LSU went that year. Miles had 10+ win LSU teams beating/losing to Arkansas which were close to sub .500 teams.

So getting players motivated to actually beat a terrible team should be Orgeron's shining moment?

You're missing my point. I actually think O is a better HC than Les Miles. I don't think that means he should be the HC after this season though.

And your point is?

I'm also not saying that Coach O should be our next head coach. I'm just saying he deserves a chance to be in the running.

Like a consideration? Sure.

Should he be head coach after this year? No.

And what if Fedorda, Fisher, Herman, Gundy, etc... say no? What if he is our best option.

I think Coach O has done a great job and I hope that if he doesn't get the HC job that he will stay on LSU's staff still. I like an offensive minded head coach if we do not touch the defensive staff.

If LSU can't pull anyone better/more proven/more successful than Orgeron, then yeah. Of course Orgeron will be hired.

That's a very, very long list though. And Alleva won't go down it very far.

Another factor I think is this is SEC football. A lot of the names mentioned Fisher, Gundy, Herman, Fedora, etc.. are spread passing attack type coaches with lack of a running game.

Coaches similar to that joining the SEC are Sumlin and Petrino. Their offenses struggled vs legit opponents. They seem to have lack of a defense and have had to adapt their offense to have a running dynamic.
