I personally think that this is the combination that Miles has wanted all along. His trip to LA was about meeting with Walker, O wants out of the Saints, and Walker wants a higher profile program to elevate his HC asperations - Jimbo to FSU and Muschamp HC's in waiting. When our defense rebounds heroically, Walker and O will get the ink and open doors for them. Downside -- Walker will not be here long.

yes, i did, i said Sonny had new info regarding the DC and DL, and that UCLA and Saints fans will recognize the names. i wanted to give sonny credit without blatantly stealing his thunder. 100 percent of the people on here would knew what i meant. we get posts saying nothing but "hmmmm" and then a link to a bio and that stays but what i wrote was somehow too cryptic?

I don't know what you guys are on, but this is horrible news. Number one, I've never liked Coach O - he was a poor HC, the Saints line ( ok, the entire D ) isn't very good, and if rumors were true, he's the guy that helped to send McKnight to USC vs LSU while he was a coach at Ole Miss. Secondly, have you actually watched UCLA's defense play? They can blame their bad offense all they want, but truth is, the defense isn't very good either. If this comes to pass, Miles really screwed the pooch, especially with Rhoades and Chavis unemployeed.

There isn't a better possible circumstance for LSU.

Question, we are/might be losing Pevoto, Mallory, and Lane. I know they were co-defensive coordinators, but I thought they were also a positions coach. So, does that mean we would have to sign a secondaries coach as well?

there is some new info from Sonny regarding this scenario which casts some doubt on this happening. Mind you there is still a decent chance, but it is definitely not a done deal.
FWIW, I think McCkay constantly takes stuff from Sonny and posts it as his own. and hence he is already a couple of days behind Sonny.

well, basically he said that Walker is still a candidate at New Mexico state...so he may be inclined to wait.
and also, O is a candidate for DC at other schools...so he might be less inclined to be a DL coach.
