May have been mentioned already, but what a great press conference. Man sounds like he would fit Coach Kelly's staff real well. Speaks well and professional. Baton Rouge guy! Hope he gets to stay. Press Conference vibes are he will. 11 different starting lineups in 12 games. 1,000 yard rusher. That is all!

I guess, but the ones downvoting me clearly didnt watch the video.

My man said "Uh" 17 times in the first 30 seconds of a 17 minute video

Yes he did. He was probably nervous speaking at the podium. Love his attitude, though.

I think hes a good coach and deserves a shot. Hes a local guy and has a nice pedigree.

Not a big deal, dude was nervous I’m sure.

He’s a solid coach that I hope is retained on BK’s staff

To most of us well spoken means speaking in a clear, concise manor and he did that. The uhs don’t change that.

1. It doesn't matter.
2. He did say "uh" a good bit I'm sure because he was nervous considering the circumstances. That doesn't mean he's not a well-spoken man. He was informative.
3. It still doesn't matter. The content of his statement and answers far outweighs his nervous posture at the podium.
4. I clearly DID watch the presser.

I'm just not sure about keeping him as OL coach. This OL has been terrible in both pass and run blocking. They had a couple of flashes of goodness through the year, but I was not impressed at all.

I think he was dealt a pile of shite to clean up, he didnt even have a full year. I would like to see him get an actual shot because I think hes a good coach, but CBK's call on everything is what we have to trust.

Considering the injuries and the fact that he was playing a freshman and a couple of sophomores a ton down the stretch, I think he did as much as could have been done with this line and the talent level he inherited from Cregg.

The O Line wasn’t good other than maybe in the 2nd half of the UF game, but they did improve slowly and were better than the start of the season when we struggled to run vs McNeese and CMU. We had a 1,000 yard rusher and were in all of the games down the stretch vs some pretty good defenses. We also saw fewer busts down the stretch, which was a huge problem early in the season. I don’t think Davis’ coaching was the problem.

I think the guy has at least earned a shot at a full off-season to improve this O Line, since he didn’t have that this year. It’s Kelly’s call, but I don’t see any reason to question him if he keeps Davis.
