Louisville fans wanted him gone for the most part. Probably saw the writing on the wall and left.

Didn't this guy say he lived close to the airport for a reason?

But, jokes aside, this is a weird hire for Cincy. His teams at Louisville weren't all that special.

Really weird considering these two schools play each other in a bowl game this year.

Ouch. This is like the Gene Chizek to Auburn hire

He’s literally been on the hot seat for two years at Louisville

I think this is the year Brohm leaves Purdue for Louisville

With UCLA and USC joining the Big Ten and them doing away with divisions, they will never sniff the Big Ten championship again.

Hell yeah! See ya Scotty. Wanted a contract extension and a $500,000 raise. UofL said No.

He's not worth it

He's been looking to leave. He came out in year one and said he wanted the USCe job.

One of the stranger working relationships I’ve ever seen. He made it public that he wasn’t fond of Louisville and was looking for a way out. Crazy

We shall see. He stayed before when people thought he was going to Louisville
Purdue may throw more money at him considering their big 10 title game appearance (not an amazing regular season but they won their division )

Reminds me of the LSU basketball coach, who went to TCU. Or the vandy basketball coach, who went to Pitt.

Addidas will probably throw some money in as well. They want the croots they paid to play for UL to play under an offensive coach.

Story is Satterfield wanted a contract extension and a long-term commitment from UofL. Louisville said no. Satterfield has never felt embraced by the fans. Off he goes. Jeff Brohm is the likely target

This will probably cost us our top 20 recruiting class though.

Doesn’t surprise me especially after he interviewed at South Carolina a few years ago and he was basically told multiple times this year, “win this week or you’re fired”. Louisville will target Brohm but unless they pay him $6 million a year at minimum and promise facility upgrades, it’s a pipe dream. Purdue is better than Louisville in almost every category right now.
Especially with all the money they’re about to get from the media deal the Big 10 just got

Dan McDonnell has been saying the same thing for 3 years now. Had Bianco left to go to LSU we had a deal in place for him to come to Ole Miss. He interviewed at State as well and expressed interest in LSU. The guy that has built their program from the ground up for 16 years doesn’t even want to be there.
Something is rotten in the athletic department

Louisville isn't a good job anymore. Their Athletic department is in debt, no NLI game to speak of, facilities falling behind, The city itself is getting bad with crime. This applies to football and basketball. They had to hire a nobody in basketball because coach after coach turned them down. Football will be the same.
