Peterson is a great coach, but I don't think he'd fit well at LSU. It would be tough for him to recruit too because of his religious affiliation. His kid is sick and in Washington they have some of the best care they can get for him.

He's just not a down south guy. Would probably never come anywhere close to Louisiana

His kid isn't sick anymore. People need to get this story straight

Peterson stayed at Boise because his kid used to be sick, and Boise,ID had the best center in the world to treat him

His son is well now, and that is what allowed Peterson to leave Boise

Washington is a destination job

That is a misconception and not true! But it keeps getting thrown around so people believe it to be true. If it was such a destination job then why did he entertain the USC job prior to Sark getting hired. The deal was struck for the most part then Hayden had cold feet and that gave Peterson cold feet.

If we were lucky enough to get him, which we will not be, he would be here until he retired and he would win multiple NC's at LSU.

Actually, it's the other way around. He called Washington about the job once Sark was let go.

He is best suited to the Northwest. I don't think he would fare as well in the deep South.

If I had a dollar for every time someone said a coach wouldn't leave and that coach ended up leaving, I would be filthy rich.

I heard a inteview with him, He said "His name has come up with many jobs across the country" but he has no interest in leaving the Northwest corner of the states. He said "I am comfortable in this area, I know the Recruiting here, Coaches in this part and don't know much about other parts of the country in that regard"

Guy is not leaving the North west !!
