It wasn't all that long ago that he was the most sought after coach in college football. He left Boise to go to Washington...I'd think he'd listen to LSU if they came calling. I, for one, think he is an excellent coach who is under the radar at present.

This shite is getting ridiculous. LSU has a coach. everybody that is predicting coaches and retarded shite like this is just setting themselves up to be disappointed. Until the guy is fired or resigns. Y'all have a coach.

No, he wouldn't. He wont leave the northwest because of his kid. He's turned down a few top jobs so he can get access to a good program for the illness he has.

2. He stayed at Boise for a decade, turning down offers from everywhere along the way.

You would have to fire your head coach for that to happen. Les miles is still the coach at LSU and no statement had been made saying he is being fired or resigning. Nobody other than Les and your AD know what is going on. All I am saying is he could very well still be your coach next year.

I was asking the question because I hadn't heard much about him recently and was keenly interested as I've always considered him a great coach.

I don't think he's a scientologist, and he'd be a damned good hire if LSU could get him.
Jimbo is (IMO) the 'safest' pick - lowest ceiling and highest floor. Petersen is a bit riskier, but still a good gamble.
