so he'd turn down UCLA for a sanctioned UNC?
that hurts if you're a Bruin fan.

I imagine CP will wait a couple more days for the Texas job to be open up.

I think Peterson is going to parlay all of the interest in him into more money from Boise St. All of the coaches that had success at Boise, failed miserably when they moved on.

He has already turned down a contract extension from Boise I believe. He and the AD at Carolina are good friends too.

Not sure thay's happening. Mack & DeLoss have gone out of their way to shoot those rumors down.

CPs already paid 1.8m by Boise. I doubt they can afford more, especially missing on a BCS bowl.
I just don't see him taking the UNC job considering all the jobs he's passed on. Also I don't know if UNC can/will offer him substantially more than 1.8m.

UNC can offer much more than that. Not to mention they were just named the top opening in college football. And we just updated the football facilities.

UCLA wont put up the money to get a big name coach.

Saban and Meyer shot down rumors too.

You might be overestimating your school's attractiveness by just a little.

Awesome.. Will they? Will they offer him >3m a year? I don't see them doing it. Nor do I see him taking the job. He'd be better off holding out for Texas.

I'm not trying to sound like a homer, or pump UNC up, I am just asking questions/debating.
I have just read some things that gives us hope.
1.) Being that Peterson has already turned down the UCLA job.
2.) Bubba Cunningham and Peterson, reportedly are good friends.
3.) His wife is coming on the trip with him to UNC. I am not familiar with coaching interviews, but I wouldn't think this would be too common if he really wasn't interested in the job.

Prob the best coach in Boise's history so I think he will do well wherever he goes.
