I'll admit I didn't think he was ready; and I don't think you could fire a personality like Coach O and replace him with a similar personality driven Coach like Kiffin.

Usually when you fire someone the pendulum swings and you hire a coach that doesn't have the flaws the coach you just fired had. Kiffin was too much like a failed Coach O in 2021 to take them. Maybe it would have worked out and he would have matured here like he did at Ole Miss, but I understand how that's a risk an AD wouldn't take.
