Chavis 2 year contract as HC?

Hear me out.
The timing of this sucks and we may not be able to get the best man for the job. (Whom ever LSU thinks that is)
Chavis raise 2 year contract
Leach OC
Cooper DC
Wilson gets a good raise
Haley raise
We hire other assistants as well
Thoughts?

Why would this not at least be a back up plan. I mean if we cant get who we want Ide rather that and get the right guy next year

So what happens after two years and he's had only moderate success? I think he's valuable as a DC and don't think he'd be ok with being "demoted" back to DC after being the HC.
We would then be looking for a new coach plus would have lost out on our DC.

If they hire some clown because of this bad timing it will be a much longer contract
