I know it's been mentioned before, but if Coach O doesn't stay on and feels slighted, I'd be surprised if Saban doesn't go after him. Another way to ensure O eventually lands a top HC gig... working under Saban.

If Orgeron runs to Bama, he can never come back to this state. He would be dead to South Louisiana.

Can't have it both ways. We can slight him, but he can't slight us?

How you figure that?

How are we slighting him?

If he'd won games he should have then he'd be a more serious candidate to us.

In the coaching changes board (where this should be) there is word that O absolutely killed his interview today. His chances sky rocketed. Also implied that if he doesn't get the job, he will accept a large pay raise and be the highest paid assistant/recruiting coordinator in the country. He will only leave for a P5 Head Coach spot.

How would not giving him the job be slighting him? If he can't understand that his career as a coach isn't as good as Herman's or Fisher's, then he doesn't need to be HC here anyway. Is he a good coach and awesome motivator/recruiter? Hell yes, and I reeeeally don't want him to leave. But if you put Herman's, Fisher's and O's resumes before me, with their names left out, I'm sorry, he comes in third.

That would show us Orgeron is not for LSU and would prove we were right not hiring him.

I don't think Saban would add Coach O. There D line has been pretty stout last few years. Also they land the number 1 recruiting class in country on a yearly basis. What else would Coach O provide for Saban and Bama? Nothing really IMO. If Coach O were not to be named HC or stay at LSU, Miss St might go after him. I know the report of him staying regardless of being named HC or not is on Coaching Change Board but there are so many reports I will wait till everything is done before I believe anything.

If Orgeron loves LSU and Louisiana as he says that should never happen.

If o feels slighted then he didnt love lsu as much as you people think. Surely he didnt expect to go from position coach to hc at one of the biggest programs in cfb.

Saban would do whatever it takes to stay on top and put daggers in the LSUs' heart. He would make a position for him.
