Any thoughts on Chad Morris? He's been a well thought of offensive mind for a long time. Seems to be doing a decent job at SMU considering it's a school with stricter admission requirements. He has a similar path as Tom Herman in that he was the OC for a successful program, and is having success at a second tier Texas school. He just hasn't had a season like Herman had last year, but beat him head to head this year.

if by success you mean "is 6-14 as a head coach but beat Houston once

then yeah sure.

I do considering the dumpster fire SMU was before he took over.

I don't think he would be a good fit for LSU, but I think he will definitely be high on the list for any big Texas school looking in a couple years.

Resume isn't quite good enough yet. He is a really good coach though and is turning that program around.

SMU was at rock bottom when he took over.

they aren't exactly soaring right not.

Wait for him to have actual success before you call his career a success.

put his name out here a couple weeks ago, unfortunately there aren't many on this board with good analytical skills.. they are looking for something that is quantifiable in a realm in which instincts are more important... he would be a solid hire and I believe Aranda would stay 2-3 more years if he were hired.

He is going to be a hot commodity in a couple years I think, but I would want to see him post some winning seasons and complete the turnaround before hiring him.

Analytical implies you are analyzing numbers which is quantifiable.... So there is not much analytical data to be evaluated on Morris, so the lack of people on this board with analytical skills shouldn't matter in this case.

hell, most of this board is going off their "instincts"....... or emotion. lol

now we are down to a solid hire?? Things are sliding fast.

What are you basing that on?

Are they buddies? Have they ever been in the same room?
