Can someone expleain the Michigan buy out clause in Les' contract?

I'm sitting here with my Michigan grad buddy and we were just talking about it...
Whats the deal with Les' contract and Michigan? They dont have to buy him out if he goes there, correct?

Oh yeah, for the record... I hope that he stays. We have some serious potential next year and I would hate to see that not put to good use with a transitional year

if he leaves to go to Michigan, they owe LSU $1.5M (or some such number).

If Miles leaves for Michigan, he owes LSU $1.25 million (I think that's the $$$).

The others are correct.
The buyout is a penalty that Miles would have to pay if he leaves for Michigan - the amount is $1.25M. There is no such penalty if he leaves for any other school.
