I'm sure he'd jump given the chance

Yeah if he leaves it will be for the NFL I think

I think he could. Id think it would be to the NFL but I think there are a few college jobs he would seriously consider. I think this dude is a really good coach

Agreed. The job he's been able to do with a PSU team that knows before the season they have nothing to play for is incredible.

Why would you hire him. He'll go to NFL in a few years anyways.

He reportedly contacted us about the Auburn job last year

He's the best coach in college today. If you can get him for 5-7 years, you do it.
Dude is only 44. Plenty of time for the NFL gig.

Hes in the ultimate stepping stone position right now. I wouldnt leave unless it was for an uber elite job on the college level or an NFL HC gig
Honesly if BB retires anytime soon id rather have him replace Bill than i would Josh McDaniels

He took a very difficult job.
He'll probably want to hang around in Happy Valley long enough to enjoy the payoff.

Seems like he has the character to stick around PSU until they have completely recovered from the NCAA sanctions from the scandal. Once PSU is running full speed again He is gone to whatever NFL team he chooses. Only way he leaves sooner is if Belichick retires and he takes over The Pats.

when the sanctions are over, PSU IS one of the top college jobs (on the surface)...
now behind the scenes he might have to pay for Paterno's and Sandusky's sins...

He's at the top of my list. If anything happened to Miles this offseason, Id be all over him. I don't believe he is as "NFL bound" as you guys think. Teams may be jonesing for him, but I think college may be a good fit for him.

Definitely one of the best quarterbacks coaches in the country, no doubt. He turned Matt McGloin from awful to decent, and Hackenberg has been pretty good as a true freshman this year.
The guy has done a phenomenal job given the situation he walked into, and he's doing more with less better than I've ever seen.

Good point. I think O'Brien, not McDaniels, will be the successor to Belichick.
