Not what I’m saying. I’m saying based on geography, Stoops is able to recruit the Midwest and the south to Kentucky. His family is also royalty in Ohio and he and his brothers played at Iowa.

You think when O was fired the LSU admin thought the new hire would be Stoops? No chance. After exhausting every avenue they are now faced with the reality that Stoops is the best hire they can make for the program.

The SEC East today isn’t the same it was 20 years ago. There is only one team Georgia, everyone else is basically flip a coin and see who wins.
So having “success” at Kentucky when Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina have all been horrible dumpster fires isn’t really successful.

If we're to believe reports like Aranda was not strongly considered, or Kiffin wasn't approved by higher-ups, then they didn't exhaust every avenue.

0% chance LSU is a top 5 job in all of college football. They will not settle.
