He hasn't been skilled at misdirects the past few searches. The coaches were pinned it was just all on who you believed was right. I'm riding with TBL until he's proven wrong.
I think in Riley's case it serves his interest not to let this fully leak. He doesn't strike me as a guy who would want to add distractions to his team until it was time to take a job elsewhere assuming he's the guy.

Johnson was pegged way before it was official and so was Mulkey. The only ones who were throwing random shite out there was dumbass local media who don't have ties in the program anyway or muh sources from my uncle TD.com. They throw shite on the wall and hope it sticks. Like I said, it's on who you believe and if you believe local media on anything in coaching searches then you're not very smart.

Misdirect doesn't mean the name never gets out. Obfuscation is just as effective. If you don't know who is right before it's announced, it was a successful misdirect.

Which is why I think it's Riley. The leaks came from the OU side, not the LSU side. Then as soon as it gained some traction it seemed like the LSU side squashed it as soon as it got out.

Yeah, you have to know his inner circle and obviously they can't keep their mouth shut either because the coaches were pegged long before they were ever official. It's going to leak when the contract is out close to the hire but these leaks happened long before any of that ever happened. Just got to know who to listen to. Hint: Don't listen to anyone in the local media or on here except TBL. National guys source better information than our own local media. It has been like that even before Woody was here.

If somewhat true, Woody prefers Napier over Aranda. I’d really be curious as to why given we can hire recruiters.

Why? Napier would be a great fallback option for LSU. Most schools would dream to have a guy like that as fallback. He's risky but that ceiling is extremely high.

We don't but I'd imagine at the point he pinned Johnson was before it was being presented in front of the rest of the admin like the BOS. Seems kinda suspect on the timing to me. He was saying it was him while local media was running around it's Bianco!
Also, that name really wasn't floating around anywhere else so guys who know BOS and leak stuff weren't getting that information. Just seems suspect to me.
