I’ve been saying Brian Kelly.
Been in the works since everything got
Screwed up with Freeman and he chose ND instead. So he could be the head coach in waiting. ND wasn’t planning on Brian Kelly going anywhere but suddenly that HC job will be available soon enough for it to persuade Freeman to accept?
Then the whole Walker Howard thing and taking a “family friends” private plane to ND randomly the morning beforw the Auburn game, which was one of our biggest games for recruiting bc of all the kids coming… dude went to check out Brian Kelly and meet him in person so he could recruit the other kids at the Aub game when he got back to BR… the logistics of a trip like that in less than 12 hours is not something a highschool recruit and his family would willingly think up and then plan to do, it would’ve been planned for a weekend when he could take his time and stuff, and also dude suddenly had access to a “private plane”?
Or did Woodward set that up and plan it? Trying to keep the recruiting class in tact.
Also you don’t keep a lame duck coach on for the remainder of a season, unless you knew you had someone already lined up. Just had to let the rest of season finish.
Remember guys, Jimmy Sexton is the true power and puppet master behind the scenes of CFB. And Freeman and Kelly, both have Sexton/CAA representing them…

Right but it was still planned. Why would it have been planned like that? Just feels fishy.
Kelly is exactly like the Jay Johnson hire. No smoke, no rumors. A surprise hire out of left field that no one saw coming.
