That feeling is diarrhea coming on. Brian Kelly is not coming to BR. Too good of a gig at Notre Dame.

If he gets paid another 7 million a year, he probably would reconsider

he makes 2.7

coordinators are making that now

Why wait though?

They are 11-1 and in line for a possible playoff appearance

we could do worse I guess but as I've said in other threads, I think he's hit his ceiling at ND (he's been good, not great).

I don't care about top 5 finishes when he plays no one. And when he makes the playoff he gets boatraced. Yes, LR was similar in that regard, but he's 38.

Someone explain how and why Kelly would do better at LSU than he has done at ND, which is a premier job.

The rankings come out tomorrow night, but the coach is going to announced tomorrow? Or was it Wednesday? The playoff situation is still fluid until this weekend is over. I've calmed down and realized, hey LSU has hired worse, but the timing aspect still has me puzzled.

ND is never going to have the Talent that LSU can get with their academic standards. He knows that better than anyone, chasing a Natty would be the only reason to leave ND.

Only this board could come to the conclusion that Brian Kelly and Dabo Swinney are not good enough for LSU.

If he can win as much as he has at Notre Dame he’ll easily win at least one championship here, likely more. He is handcuffed coaching at ND, but still wins there.

He won't be limited in recruiting by ND's strict academics and the south will be open to him to recruit. He couldn't get enough kids from the warm weather areas to come to South Bend.
I think he would mash. Tough teams that could BLOCK and TACKLE before all else.
And yes, he has mellowed.

this is an actual good point re: Kelly. Although I am not personally aware of the academic standards for athletes.

He would have much better players here. He has overachieved in ND given the admission restrictions.

By your standards, Nick Saban would never have gotten the job here.
