That hurts a little.

I don't know why any established HC would go to MsSt. They just canned a guy after 2 seasons. They're relegated to coordinators.

Baylor would make sense for Napier

Does State look at fellow Louisiana G5's Fritz or Holtz?

Mississippi State fans would riot if they hired a 60 year old from Tulane or a guy who failed at South Florida

Both those coaches own ULL. Fritz put a beat down on Napier/ULL last year and Holtz made Hud go back to FCS football.

The Mississippi State fans are still adamant that Napier is coming. That dude on Twitter that everybody is following says $3.8 million for 4 years.
Not hearing anything from Lafayette. Guess we will find out more on Tuesday.

Just like Arky fans swore they had Kiffin pretty much up to the press conference where we announced him.

That he will be in line for a much better one in the next year or two and he doesn't want to jeopardize that by going to a shite program a d having a losing season. Or two.

Yikes, MSU needs a hire to unite the fan base. This seemed liked the majority’s favorite

Napier ain’t coming to State. I don’t know if we ever offered, just inquired, or never even contacted him, but he ain’t coming.

State fans are saying you can’t be a “candidate” if you’ve already accepted
Setting themselves up so sweetly

They are comparing this situation to Saban back in 2006

AKA, “Why would I go to that no-win situation when I have a legit shot to win 11-12 games next season, have a program that hasn’t sniffed Top 25 actually be ranked, and can then take the South Carolina job or another similar job where I have a chance to succeed and not be given nearly 4 guaranteed losses every year?”
spot on...
