wut? He'll never go to the NBA. He's a college guy all the way. He won't leave Butler unless it's for a college blueblood on the east coast or in the midwest. Narrows it down to something like Duke, UNC, Syracuse, Kansas, etc.

He has already proven he can win big at Butler I just don't see him leaving for another college.

I live in Richmond, VA and can tell you that Shaka Smart will get a big job eventaully when the right one comes along. The people in charge at VCU are as high on him as they were Anthony Grant. VCU's AD and commitee for hires has a great track record of hiring good up and coming HC guys. Not saying Smart will get an elite level job but he will get a job similar to Capel at Oklahoma and Grant at Alabama.

So.. if you will admit that Louisiana does not have the talent,
then you have to recruit regionally and nationally, like UK and Duke. UK and Duke can get the best locals from excellent local hoops areas AND the best from north Jersey (aka, the northern cities where hoops is king and no one plays football)

Both failures, btw. This is why I would not hire Shaka Smart. VCU is a program that puts out hot coaches that fizzle when they move up the ladder.
