The biggest tragedy of this whole deal is Alleva's squandering the eight week head start over Texas. He literally thought O was going to win out so he could make the easy choice. Had no real contingency. Bet on the wrong horse.

If that is true and there stands a good chance it probably is all things concerning then he absolutely needs to be fired. Joe Alleva despite the fact he wanted Miles fired last year has done nothing to help us out in any of this. He is subpar at best and the direction of our programs start with him.

He has a nasty habit of always getting out maneuvered though. He doesn't initiate, he reacts, that is why he is always a step behind. Whether or not we land Herman, he needs to go.

If they fire Alleva, they make things worse not better. No top coach wants to come into a situation where he will not know who the A.D. is or he will have no idea how that A.D. operates. To allow something like that to get out right now or even attempt to do it right now is the height of ineptitude and dysfunction.
Seeing how they were the ones that actually caused the Jimbo thing to go sideways last year with all the leaks to the press this is amazing that they can't control themselves.
